Welcome to CL, waggsdl.

It's in the trunk on the right side...toward the back. Just pop the disk out and put the new one in.

Or.....are you talking about where to buy the disk? Try www.sewellpartsonline.com

They have a code you can enter to get 10% off for CL members. It's CL911M.

http://www.sewellpartsonline.com/par...d=203904&all=Y

They also have instructions for installing the DVD, and for determining the generation of your navigation system.

Ouch....$250?

Yeah, it's literally as easy as changing the CD's in your car. Actually, it's easier because there's only one disk to swap out.

Just follow the installation instructions on the sewellpartsonline link.

I'm a new owner of a 2006 SC and also want to upgrade the Nav Disk - not sure what Generation I'm dealing with?

2005-2009 SC 430 are Gen 4. I did both my 07 and 08 and it took less time than reading this posting.

Go to http://lexus.sewellparts.com/ and register using your Club Lexus User name.

http://lexus.sewellparts.com/accesso...2006/5045.html

You can buy parts from them at discount. Unfortunately the discount for a Nav DVD. Is minimal but for most other parts discount is good. I actually purchased my DVD disks from my local Lexus dealer for $169 less 10% discount just for asking.

The DVD will cost you $169. Follow installation pages on your manual to replace it.
It literally only takes about 60 seconds from start to finish to update the NAV on your 2006 SC 430.

Turn key to accessory position
Open trunk
Pull panel COVER off labeled NAV DVD
Slide black button on DVD drive to left and push the button in
The DVD will eject
Insert new DVD into drive
Slide black button to right
Replace NAV DVD cover
Look at NAV screen and wait a minute or so for installing to go away
When Map screen reappears YOUR DONE.
