so im adding additional projectors to my headlamps and need another favor:
any particular HID kit you have had success with?
its going to take an H1 bulb if that matters.
but yes, if you have ever had success with an HID kit on your SC or any other car that you feel is strong running, reliable, and effective, please let me know and i appreciate your feedback guys.
thanks again
joe
SC430 projectors are one of the best in the game...what you need is either a d2s 5000k-6000k bulbs if you want a bluer look...or switch to the 85122+ d2s for brighter output
here is what ive done:
i ripped open the lights and ADDED a projector where the fog lamp/drl normally goes. i wanted to put a new HID kit there and run 4 (yes, four) projectors up front tandem all the time. also the projector i put in has the bizenon function so when i hit the highs they will brighten.
opted for the GReddy 6000 HID and am swapping the low beam HID bulb to a 6000 as well so they match.
i ALSO put new clear lenses on the factory projector to clear the look a little better, and did the same to the turn signals (i dont recommend. it involves a Dremel, paint, and prayers), which i dont think anyone has done. you will get a kick out of this...
ill post a new link when they are painted and put back together.
thanks for all your support!
langsdale-check out the brand "halo" bulbs. Very nice...great ratings on eBay and good prices...several high end cars I know have them...MBZ's, BMW, RR, etc. Oddly enough, they don't make a "halo" type projection, it's just their brand name. Hope this helps.
