The darker the color, the more swirl marks become a problem. Until something darker than black comes out, black will remain the benchmark: hardest to keep clean - hardest to keep swirl-free - best looking for a while after full day of hard work.

Swirl marks..
Yes there are some.. but my master magician.. (Bob), who can do anything with paint will take care of that! The color is awesome..and even the Lexus dealership said they had never seen one..I wonder how many were made? Is there a spec sheet on that statistic? Curious..?

I have to ask my other half what he uses..we have restored vintage VW's for years, and have all kinds of things we use.. but I just drive 'em..Bob does all the work!

well, i looked but could not find actual sales/production of the midnight pine. We know that they only made it from 2002-2005 like the absolutely red and it was available in ecru or saddle interior. Don't think it was available in black. We can get sales for 2002-2005 SC430's, but it doesn't break down by color. It would be kinda nice to know.
The toyota reference site is awesome data.

My wife and I drive our "His & Her's" SC's as daily drivers all summer, my wife has a 4 door "Winter Beater" that she drives when she has to haul clients around. But sadly our babies are tucked away for the winter waiting for spring to come out and play. I drive a GMC 1/2 ton for a winter beater. We might have to break one of them out of hibernation this winter as we plan on heading down to Poenix for 6 weeks in Feb. couldn't stand to be in a warm sunny location without our beloved SC!!!
