Default SC blind spots

One of the things i've noticed while driving this car is you really need to get the feel for the car and know the distances / how close you are between the car and objects/people/cars. It was really hard for me at first because you can't see where the end of your hood or trunk is because the car is so long and I would always park too far away because I thought I was closer then I was I haven't paralleled the SC yet but I have a feeling it won't be easy, i'm not a good parallel parker anyways so . Is this just me or when you first started driving your SC it just was kind of freaky (especially after driving my small *** 90 prelude which you could see every part of the car) but i really feel alot more secure now that i've driven the car quite a bit

May be just you dude. I went from driving a 240sx (which I could whip around and park at unsafe speeds with ease) to my SC which I also got around in with no issues. If you think you need to get a better feel for the size/length of the car just keep driving/parking mastery should kick in eventually...

I'm so used to my car, I know every inch of it.

Now, parking a Honda Accord with a big ars where you can't see the top of the hood of the car behind you, that's a challenge.

I learned how to drive in a Ford Expedition, graduated to an SC400... been driving one since 2000

I find it's pretty easy to move around on the highway, just keep your eyes on the mirror... the front end will come with a little time.

Hey man,

Start by getting some of the little blind spot mirrors - those things are awesome. I have had them in all of my cars and don't feel they look tacky at all.

Parallel parking in the SC is simple.

Also, first time I have ever seen a guy admit to being bad at parallel parking!! I thought only chics were bad at it!!

Peace,
Jonny

lol well i've only done it a few times since I got my license because I don't really go in the city except for my grandma the prelude was very easy to parallel because it was so small and had 4 wheel steering. I can parallel the SC but in really tight spots I bet i'd get real nervous about scratching my baby

Default blind spots?

There was nothing to get used to for me....I've always owned cars with looong hoods. Previous cars were Infinity J30, 2 Camaro's, 2 Monte Carlo's....all long nosed rides.

Yes the 88-91 had mechanical 4ws and the 92-96 had electronic controlled 4ws which failed alot so they stopped making them 4ws. Oh it's not standard pretty much a rare option, turn the wheel a little the rear wheels turn the same way turn it sharp and they turn the opposite way (it deactivates above 30 mph though) it's great for u-turns when you cut it the whole way because the rear wheels go the opposite way getting a better turning circle

The SC's rear pillars can cause a little hassle sometimes, I have noticed.

not too bad, hood is long... but everything else is cool, you sit a bit low compared to hondas and stuff (accords, civics)

every car takes getting used to, got in a Malibu rental today and took me 30 minutes to get used to it

I love my 240, the things tiny.... S14 has better visibility than my old S13 hatch...
