Default Service Labor Rates

More than once in this forum I've seen suggestions to get maintenance service at a Toyota dealer to save some money. For those who have done that, are you paying the same labor rate the dealer charges for Toyotas?

One of the two local Toyota dealers also sells BMWs and charges the BMW rate for Lexus service. Last year, that was $116.69/hour; Toyota rate was $89.17/hour. Of course both rates are probably higher now.

Thanks
EdP

I had the local lexus dealer in Dallas charge me 1/2 hour labor for $60...so that would be $120/hour. This was earlier this year for 2009.

Toyota is definitely less in most places. Hope this helps.

The local Ferrari dealer is $120 per hour. $116 is NUTS!
