Default How do you remove the center armrest?

I want to paint the armrest (see Ecru touch up thread) but I would prefer to remove it instead of taping it off.

Anyone has instructions? Pics? I'm more of a visual guy...

My ecru armrest is looking bad too, didn't know you could paint it. Can you post a link to the ecru touch up thread? I searched but could not find it. Thanks!

I ended up not taking it off.

With the seats all the way forward and folded, you have plenty of space to paint the armrest.

I opened the armrest up so that it's easier to paint the sides.

Did you happen to take before and after pictures?

No, I didn't.

But the outcome is very clean. It really depends on the prep work and application. Just keep it simple and thorough.
