Default Orlando Car Customs

Any one had any work done, I went to the guys at Ultimate Audio today, and they seemered very knowledgeable, but maybe a bit over priced. What do you guys thing about the pricing for these mods

Vossen VVS 94 silver with a chrome lip 20x8.5 & 20x10 w/ toyo tires $3800
.9 inch drop ibach springs- $1200
black out all all lights, repolish head lights, and paint grill to match body color- $1200
exhaust ( not blitz I forget what brand he said he preferred)- $1200

Is that overpriced, or in line with what I should be paying, they do nice work, they've done work on Mercedes, Ferraris, Bentley, Ford GT.

I had these guys install the Vais unit into my car, and it has all worked perfectly. They are the elite car customization shop in town, so you may pay a little more for the quality of the experience you should receive.

that sounds pretty overpriced. i'd check with D2 on here for the wheels. they can probably beat that price by close to $1000. springs shouldn't run anywhere near that. it's $300 for parts. so they're charging $900 labor? i've never priced out blacking out the lights. it's not legal, so you will probably get a ticket sooner or later. but i'm willing to bet you could do it for half that. i'd recommend looking into clear corners instead. i can't say much about the exhaust without knowing the brand. blitz runs about $1000. their "preferred" brand may be cheaper.

Just googled it and this link came up.

http://www.rimslegend.com/vossen-vvs...ckmachined-lip

You can get Michelin PS2 tires and the total is still less than $3800.
Vossen is also one of the CL venders, so you can get a better deal on rims.

$1200 for Eibach? that is insane.
My local Lexus dealer charges $600 for installing springs while most of the repair shops charge $100-$250 for install.

black out all all lights? oh... overlays. $200 most including parts and labor.
Painting the sc grille shouldn't cost you more than $150.

I will be surprised if they charge you less than $3000 if you want the Blitz exhaust. Blitz is not prefered because it needs a special order. I think the msrp of the Blitz exhaust is more like $1790 now.

i've found blitz online for just over $1000. here's the link. most sites have it quite a bit higher. not sure why this one is so low.

I noticed that on a few websites, too.

Maybe the demand is too low so that it never got the site owners attention to update it.
If you order it on line, they will most likely cancel/refund your order unless they have it in stock from long time ago.

they aren't going to do overlays, they want to remove all the lights, and repaint them.
i thought the rims and tires sounded way too high, I know the springs are cheaper but he said it was going to take 5 or 6 hours to align and install the springs properly.

FYI, i'm not sure how relevant this is to you.. but I just got a set of TTE (toyota team europe) springs from Sewell Lexus for $140 shipped last week which i am told are rebranded Eibachs.. I then took them to a local suspension shop and had them installed for $150 yesterday.

$140 + $150 = way less than what you were quoted.

The guy mentioned the fronts were super easy, but the back was much more difficult due to removing the entire trunk liner.

Total job took him 3 hours... I think have been quoted way too much for what they are planning to do for you in terms of dropping your car.

Should have laughed in their face... Those prices are robbery.

Im 100% positive there are plenty good shops in Orlando to do the work for alot less. Im sure Titan Motorsports can give you a much better deal. Full retail on the eibachs is like $299. So they are charging $900 labor?

Post up in the Florida Lexus Club forum and Im sure there are plenty of Orlando member to get you in the right direction. Hell, if you're willing to come to Jacksonville I'll get you in touch with a good shop to take care of you.

Complete rip off.. That is insane! Especially for the spring install. He probably saw that you weren't too familiar with the process and wanted charge you out the a$$. Or maybe his prices are just normally like that due to the types of cars that he works on.. in any event.. I would have hauled a$$ outta that place. Jeez..

+1, these prices are way high, think they're getting 300/hr labor for what they are charging you.

I brought my Vais to them, and they charged $90/hour.....which I thought was reasonable. They had it in there an hour, so I was out of there for less than a $100. Not sure where they are getting these numbers for you.

If you shop around you should be able to get all those mods done for 4-5K,

Now if you’re really savvy and did most of the installs yourself and bought a nice used set of wheels you could get it done for 2,000 – 2,500ish

Good luck!

You know, I really don't understand why anyone needs something like that.

I installed mine myself. Took an hour with one screwdriver. How tough is that for anybody?
