too cool, let's bring his NM edition to Texas and be a broker for vietprince and have a competition to see who could sell it for more and the winner gets to keep the difference between the two!
Everyone wins...he sells his car, we get to drive the NM edition and you and I can settle our bet!
if I got $24k for my 2002 Red/ecru which is rare, but not super rare with 29k miles and much fewer mods and great condition, but not almost perfect like his, am I totally whack to think he could sell for $28-$30k? IMHO no...but I'm a dreamer!

couldn't agree more on the pool...our neighbors are trying to sell their 4500 square foot home for about $50k more than other homes in the neighborhood for their infinity pool with all kinds of lush landscaping and spa, waterfalls, granite outdoor kitchen, flagstone everywhere and realistically a new potential owner just looks on their list of wants and needs in a house and either puts a check by the pool, or they say oh, it has a nice pool.
FYI they spent $50k on the pool, $10k on the outdoor kitchen and another $5k on landscaping and they will be lucky if they get any more than the neighbors down the street with a similar home selling for $75k less than theirs! LOL funny how this all works

as a general rule, you're doing good to get back half of what you spent on your mods. if you can find a buyer willing to pay that, i'd go for it. if not, part it out and that's about what you'll get.
