Just found this place and was shocked to find out that I had not seen it before, so so glad I did. I have an 02 SC430 Silver that I have had a few problems with, being that I was very early in getting the car. March 17th 2001 last year. I reported all of these problems to Lexus Canada, and here I am seeing everybody with fixes for them, isn't the internet great.
I am very pleased to hear that there is a fix for the clunk that I have had since day one, coming from a 96 SC400 into the 02 I assumed that the clunk was the price of going up from a 16 inch (stock 96) to an 18 inch run flat, now I know it is not the case, here is betting there are a lot of SC owners out there with the clunk that think its normal and blame it on the Run Flats. I will be calling the dealer tomorrow morning and getting the info on this
I just wanted to say hello and I look forward to discussing this great car with all you.
the clunk is not from the runflats. its from the rear suspesion bushing or cushions. Canada just came out with the service bulliten reccently. US had it awhile back ago....good luck.
Welcome to CL jbutcher.. Good to see more Canadian SC430 owners finding this place.. Where in Canada are you if you don't mind me asking.. If in the Toronto area we are having a Club Lexus meet on April 27 if you would like more details i'd be happy to pass that along..
If you have any questions check out the FAQ on the SC430 but if that doesn't help be sure to post your question and we would be happy to help out!
Greetings. I'm sure you will continue to find more information than you bargained for here @ CL. Just be careful of the new virus called the "mod bug." At this time, there is no known cure for it. BEWARE!
