hi guys, whenever i open and close the wood lid for my nav of my 02 sc430, there is always a one-time click of mechanical sound.

this is my first time owning sc. i am wondering if this is normal? do you often or always hear any clicking sound or any sound at all whenever you open or close the wood lid?

any input will be greatly appreciated

Nope: no click. Smooth as silk and quite.

 

There was a post several months ago reff the nav door getting loose . Do a search or perhaps teh original poster may see this and answer you. i remember that there was noise and in fact his door came off the track. I think it was a simple fix .

My 02s navi door was making weird noise and slightly jerking when closing. I was able to cure it by spraying silicone lube on the tracks on both sides of the screen.
