Default Lextreme cams

Anyone here tried the Lextreme camshafts?

http://www.lextreme.com/Lexus-Toyota-cams.html

Stage I: 266 duration 345 lift

Stage II: 274 duration 385 lift

Im tempted as the price is good and shipping is even better. But are the alternatives better gains MVP?

The cams in Lextreme's pics are of the early 1uzfe and not the 2uzfe or 1/3uzfe VVt-I. You have the 4.3L VVt-I. Also Lextreme cams are straight regrinds meaning that the base circles are ground away thin. It's a way of "fooling" the cam into making higher lift at the expense of wear and tear, and also a radically different valve acceleration profile.

MVP's cams on the otherhand are hardwelds. The base circles are left intact an the lobes themselves are altered to offer more lift/duration in as much of an OEM way as possible.

Thanks,

Eric

Thanks Eric, I want to buy some of your cams but the only thing stopping me at the moment is what piggyback ECU to get. I know you mentioned the Camcon one in the thread about the cams but I cant see a model for my car.

Would the Apexi Neo work?

BTW how many hours approx would you say to install those cams.
