There's a Yaw sensor in the car? What does it do (aside from the obvious "it senses yaw")? Is this to kick in the VSC if it senses that the car is close to rolling over?
"The yaw sensor is the heart of the Vehicle Skid Control system in the car and is located in the center of the car’s rotational axis. In the case of the SC430 it is under the seat heater controls. Lift it up and look down and you will see a box with a cable attached to it. That tiny little well shielded box can save your life. It monitors the skidding/angle of the car as well as sends braking(deceleration) and acceleration data to the skid control computer which then uses this information in conjunction with data from wheel sensors, etc... A bad yaw sensor can really wreak havoc such as automatically braking your car, no skid control, premature activation, late activation, or improper skid control ability. "

You know I would love to but I sold my manuals and I know I promised to post the procedure. It is in the factory manual if someone could post it up. Takes a paperclip and a few tries. The dealer can of course do it also.
The reason you would want it set is that the yaw sensor has a default setting which is what it believes the car is at level. If angled then the setting will be off a bit and may prematurely activate or not allow the VSC to properly work during an emergency manueveur. This was my discussion with a Lexus tech a while back. Makes sense.
