Pebble Beach SC430's in the used market...
What is the general consensus on these "special option" cars?
I've seen the '07 iteration and really like the white on red (personal preference) and figured out this was the Pebble Beach edition.
I understand that the option was obviously worth a few thousand new, however, does it really impact the values after 2 years and 35,000 miles? Would you guys pay extra for the option? Is rarity really a big enough factor?
Lets hear what you guys think...
EDIT: Sidenote. Other than the black Pebble Beach 430's, could one order the Pimento Red interior on any car?

I have a 2005 PB black pimento red interior. In 2002 the Neiman Marcus Silver belle was called candy kane [ Same color as pimento red ] The white PB you mentioned is also the same color they call it something else other then pimento red. As far As I know those are the only years of the PB with the same color called three diff names

Would I pay extra for it? Well, I would pay a little extra for the '04 (Light blue exterior with ecru leather and black wood), the '05 (black with red), and the '07 (white with red). The '06 (dark brown on brown) and '08 (SGM with two-tone leather) were not too different from other vehicles, so I wouldn't pay extra for those.
Rarity is not a big enough factor. Jaguars are rare, and their resale sucks...
Sidenote: you cannot order the red interior for '05 and '07 unless if it was a PBE SC430.

Ah ok so the Neiman Marcus cars are the silver with the red interior, I was wondering about that. Its a few years away but I am definitely intrigued with the 07 PB cars.

The term "rare" is overused these days. I am sorry NONE of the production cars these days I would consider are rare with few exceptions...I'm not even sure these are considered "production" cars but..The Mercedes CLK Black Series, The 40th Anniv edition Mercedes CL...only 40 of those being made worldwide. Those are examples of rare cars. I dont see Jag's, other MB's, Lexus's, Audi's etc as possiblly being rare unless your speaking of numbers below 500 or 1,000 WORLDWIDE.
I think paying for exclusivity is worth it in those instances but specific packages while offering attractive options and color schemes are nice but in today's market dont translate too well in resale value.
Just my .02.
