Default New (preowned) vehicle decision

Well, I ALMOST have my wife to the point where I can pull the trigger on a certified preowned SC 430. I've narrowed it down to

1) A 2005 for $36,000 with 35,000 miles

2) A 2006 for $42,000 with 22,000 miles

I know the transmission went to a six speed for 2006 and Bluetooth was added, but the 2006 just doesn't seem $6000 better. They're the same color and interior.

Anything else I'm missing on the difference between the two? Would love some opinions. The 2005 definitely looks like the better deal...

Thanks!

I would keep on lookin....if you want to save some $$$. If you drop back another year or two...I think you can get into the low 30's/high 20's. More $$$ left for modding!

If you don't care about the bluetooth and transmission, I'd look for an older, low milage car. You could probably find an 02 with the same milage for $10K less.

There's an '06 PB with only 3k miles on ebay for $43k -- I'd look at that

Thanks for the replies. I might wait just a bit longer to see if anything better pops up, but patience is a tough virtue to master (especially during summer when you're looking at convertibles!)

check carmax.com too. they generally have very clean cars at reasonable prices. they're pretty straight forward and honest. plus, their extended warranties are fair. you can have a car transferred from anywhere in the country for about $150 to $500, depending how far away it is.
