I'm sure you've read this on the forum many times. Here it goes again.
I'm lowering my 430. How much should i lower the car if i want about an inch-inch half gap? Another question, what type of springs/shocks/coil overs/combo do i have to get a ride similar to stock ride? Whats a good dependable brand? And how much does it cost? I want to stay within budget if possible. Under 1K not including labor.
Most folks have the Tein coilovers. You can adjust them to the height you want. I doubt you will get a set for less then 1k. Maybe check the classifieds here.
Keeping in mind that lowering your car will also result in premature wear to your tires-especially the fronts. The lower-the more wear as this car does not have the available camber adjustment to compensate.
Several hear can attest to this-tire is brand new from the middle to the outside, but down to the metal on the inside.
Choose wisely.
I've been lowered since about day 1 of owning the car, I'm sitting at 71,000 miles and I just mounted my 3rd set of tires. That's around 35K miles a set. I'm pretty happy with that considering I have a pretty aggressive drop.

Not to doubt you, but 35k on a lowered SC/GS is remarkable. Others with the same setup as yours are getting only a fraction of that.
I got under mine the other day to check the camber and there was only a slight amount left in the suspension, not even close enough to allow for even tire wear. Anything else you have on your car? What size tires do you run?
Nothing different Tein CS, Daizen sways. I've been though 2 sets of Dunlop Sport Maxx. 245 35 20 F 285 30 20 R When I took it in last weekend to put the new tires on, this time around I went with Falkens to try to solve my rubbing issues which they did, the tech said I had more miles on the Dunlops if I wanted to wait. Guess I'm lucky!

I was going to go for Dunlop next time maybe I should try the Falkens. Where was you rubbing fronts?
Ive got Pirelli but 255 and terrible rub up front.

255 up front is pretty big!! I'm running 245, I don't remember what my offset is. With the Dunlops in front it rubbed on the top of the fender liner and on the fender lip. With the Falkens that's gone, but there is a little noise while turning with the wheels locked in either direction but I can live with that. On the rear the fender liner is part of the fender lip, the Dunlops have worn that away completely. You could see rub marks on the sidewalls of the tires. Big difference with the Falkens there is so much space between the fender lip and the sidewall of the tire I could drop it maybe another 3/4" - 1". The Falkens are very smooth. I've got my shocks set on the hardest settings and with the Falkens there is a noticeable difference in ride comfort. After a week of driving around I'm pretty happy with them plus you can't beat the price!
Can i just switch the springs out? Will that work? If so how will the ride be? I'm not looking for a stiffer ride. Looking for more original ride.
Couple have but not many. Downside is you will have to live with whatever drop they give you, ride will be alot stiffer and they will probs sag over time.
If you got that route then Tein also do just springs but dont get the ones on ebay as they are supposed to be fakes.
A set of used tein coilovers pops up in the classifieds every month or so.
