Default Daytime Running Lights - Bulb Size

does anyone know which bulbs are used for the daytime lights? when the light switch is in the off position, the ugly colored lights come on. i was trying to swap em out for a different color and was wondering what size they were.

I believe they are 9005's, your daytime running lights are your high beams.

I've swapped mine out with some generic hyper whites and they look "whiter"
There is a definite difference between those and the stock yellow ones.

What brand did you use to make it look whiter? I want to try.

honestly I don't remember, I just had them laying around from my old SC.
They really weren't anything special

No matter what you get you should definitely see a difference; anything is better then regular old halogens.

your DRL's are the high beams, if you get really yellow ones, your high beams will reflect that color also...IMO, silverstars FtW

just put 3.5k zenons on there and buy the way. 9006-low beam bulb size. 9005-high beam & fog light bukb size. i got 12000k for my coupe's fogs and lows. but i turned the daytimes off and the way i did that is by disconnecting the harness wich is located in the engine by the fuse box. ill post pics whenh i can

p.s. only paid 85 bucks for each pair of zenons(http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-X...spagenameZWDVW)

ok so i bought myself a set of sylvania silverstar's (9005 st).

does anyone know what i have to do to swap out the bulbs?

i was lookin under the hood earlier today and saw that i could probably get to the passenger side bulb with some careful hands, but to remove the bulb on the driver side....not too sure.

theres some kind of box or air box assembly thats blocking the way and to reach through there is too difficult, given the size of my hands. any pointers?

Is there any plug and play WHITE LED replacement for my 2004 Lexus SC430 Daytime running lights?
Is the installation for the LED harness difficult?
