Default Rotor sizes

With the stock wheels, what is the largest size of rotor you can put on without shaving anything?

Thanks

don't understand your question. if you increase rotor size, you need new calipers/brackets. and with that you need new wheels

either way, 18" diameter wheels can fit 14" rotors

I was thinking about what size of Vented rotors from Brembo I could get. I've read that Vented rotors don't do a whole bunch, and know that, but I was thinking for the cool factor here.

What size is the stock rotor?

thanks Rominl for your quick response.

vented? i believe the stock are already vented. i think you mean slotted / drilled?

if so, i suggest get direct size replacement. you don't want to touch the calipers

no idea on stock size though, maybe 12.7?

Not sure if they are even that large. I believe stock front rotors are 11.65" in diameter and Supra TT are 12.6-12.7". I just placed new slotted/drilled rotors on the SC as I removed the BBK a while back. Did not measure the OEM rotors other than they are very tiny-comparable to a quarter I think. Regardless of the size your only option is to get a direct replacement as going larger will interfere with the caliper so again we are a bit confused with the question. Does Brembo actually make a drilled/slotted rotor now for this car? They didn't in the past though other companies took their blanks and drilled them selling them off as Brembo which they were not.

Yes, my mistake, I mean drilled. And just to double check, the stock calipers will work with these rotors?

Thanks

Yes, if they are for SC430/GS400/GS430 they will work fine with stock calipers. If they were larger rotors meant for Supra TT than it would state Supra TT. If they were for Brembo big brake kit they would be $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

I picked up a set of 4 cross/drilled new for under $130.00. They are the cheapie off shore brand but ...they actually do work well. Have/had them in my GX, GS,etc..
