Default Tail light upgrade question

Yes, I already know the tail light thing has already been discuss already. But my question is a little different. Ok I have a lexus sc430 2003 and i want to upgrade to teh 06 lights... So heres teh question does anyone know where I can buy the tail light housing its self not the whole unit. Basicly I just want the shell of it so I can just plug in teh orginal lights into a new 06 shell and make it look like an o6 light. (links would eb helpful) You gusy are wondering y I just want the shell well first off I don't want to buy a new computer box thats gonna cost me another 200. second I don't want to deal witht that glowing light on teh dash. third its just cheaper to buy a shell rather than led inside. Forth I am lazy and low on funds.

no it won't work, it's just the whole taillight assembly, can't be separated.... the led part are integrated anyway

Just like Rominl said it will not even work. Just deal with the dash light being on or put some black tape over it. The 06 shell would not even match up with the bulbs from the pre-06 anyway so it would not look right.

just buy the 06 assembly, well worth it, big diffrence in looks, overall looks and lighting,

one question to those of you with this swap, is it just me or are my LED supose to be really bright, I mean blinding bright, I mean if I was driving behind this car I would high beam you, does this have anything to do with the sensor not be changed, or does the sensor dim the volts down?

I have 3 dash lights on and none bother me light, fluid, and some other light sensor when i lowered the car, as long as it aint the check engine, they dont bother me

i drove behind our sc430 once with the new taillights, it's pretty darn bright, like it

another 06 came up and didn't notice any difference between our car (conversion) with that
