Default Some queries

Hey there, First of all thanks to all of you for your invaluable help done previously as We dont have any lexus dealership or service centers here in India. I have some more queries regarding my car.

I am left with one key only and its remote unit isnt working at all so i am looking forward to program a new key. I came to know that i suppose to have master key to programe a new key but dont know if the current one is a master key. Its with a black remote integrated in it. Though i amnt able to lock/unlock the glove or console compartment with this key but works perfect when i operate the door lock manually and in the ignition. Kindly advise.

I have heard about the luxlink setup to open the rooftop by remote. Is it easy to get installed?

I got my SC430 imported from Japan so it have all the NAV language in Japanese. Is there any, ANY way to get it changed to english? Will it work if i change the whole NAV unit?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I suggest you keep you jdm nav that comes with TV function, so you might at least watch TV.

Also, I don't think Lexus will care to produce any navigation map dvd disc for India if Lexus doesn't sell cars there.
Last time I checked, all Toyota cars in India don't equip with navigation from factory, not even an oem option.

Yeh, Toyota cars in India dont have Nav as oem but now we do have navigation maps available for major cities and i hope we can install them. Regarding the TV option, It dont catch any channel in here so of no use.

so you want to get an US spec nav unit and modify it to work with a third party map disc? Good luck!
It will be very expensive to do so and no guarantee it will work.
I remember Jasonj in Tokyo said that he tried to do it before but failed (he only wanted to see English menu and everything else including map disc is oem in Japan ).

why don't you find a good shop and have them install an aftermarket nav unit ?
