I won't pay that much more just for those minor cosmetic differences on that car, that's for sure
no, but keep in mind, this was a way for a customer to get their hands on a car immediately. the waiting lists at most dealers were one year or longer at the time, and normal production sc430s were bringing $10k over sticker, if you could find one.

they werent, but some wholesalers got in on lists early, got cars, then resold them to the public. i sold a car to a guy down in south florida, everything seemed legit, i even collected sales tax on the deal, then - BOOM - showed up on a used car lot. i had no idea that was gonna happen, but i still got a call from lexus hq about that one.

so you guys are supposed to "catch" those as well and deny the sales?!

the factory basically told us that we should only sell cars to "known" customers that we are familiar with. i think they were just trying to police things a little bit to placate the huge south florida dealers who really got their drawers in a knot over it.
