Wheel / Tire Help
Hello:
I am new to this forum and would like your advice.
I have a fully stock 2002 SC430 and right now I plan to get:
...but who knows once I start I might not be able to stop!
I will be doing this in phases. First up are new wheels and tires.
After reading some of the posts here you have convinced me that it is time to punt the run flats.
Right now I am leaning toward getting 19" wheels with Michelin PS2s since I have concerns about the ride quality and handling with 20" wheels. I have been told that the PS2s have a soft side wall and help with ride quality.
Questions:
I would like to stay under $500 a wheel if possible. What brands do you recommend?
Do you recommend staggering the wheels on a SC430?
What size of wheel and tire would you recommend since I would like to lower the car some in the future.
How much lower do you suggest for a daily driver?
Are there any other mods that I should look into?
This will be my first purchase of aftermarket wheels and I appreciate your input.
Thanks

1) 500 a wheel, that's 2k total. that's with tires? hope not. even without tires, imho it's hard to get something nice and good quality. i say 2500 to 3000
2) for sure staggered, otherwise the rears are going to look very weird and conservative
3) 19x9 and 19x10, typical
4) depends on your driving, knowing how to drive a lowered car is a must. my car is pretty low and we drive it every day
5) mods are always personal, just read and search more and do whatever you like
