Default it's getting hot in here

I always open the hood and raise it to let the car cool own faster , I have been opening the cowl doors on my plane since I got , this lets the heat escape , and cools down the firewall faster...

Gee-Bee

Did I mention it was 110 degree's in the Desert today........

For some silly reason, in the warm months, hot air blows in from the vents. You can try everything and the only thing that works is to turn the AC on even of you have the top down.

i believe that the internal cabin has automatic warm air ventilation when the outside of the cabin is detected as "cool", then there's just a little bit of warm air that kicks in and flows thru the bottom leg vents.

I agree that the car feels warm inside in the foot wheels. I need to put the air on to help cool it. Puttting the top down is not enough

Ha ha. So I'm not the only one, huh? I do it when it gets above 100, or when I'm going to charge the battery anyway (every week or two).
And yes, the car feels much hotter than the outside temperature, but that has happened with all my cars. You need to run the A/C for a few minutes, set the temp at lowest, and shut it off. The firewall always gets hot due to engine heat, so there's no way to eliminate that completely. But in winter it's nice .

man i know exactly what your talking about.
when you drive with the top up and engine warmed up all the way...and you lower your window a little...there is a LOT of warm/hot air coming out..especialy under the climate controll between the radio area. It gettins anoying at times on hot days. Is this a problem?

There have been a number of posts about this throught the years and one not too long ago. You may want to do a search on this forum. The problem of heat coming out through the vents when it shouldn't is an issue that has not been resolved. The service managers do not accept it as a problem. It has been the only peeve I have had about the car (except for run-flats which I changed after 1000 miles, but that is a different story). It is not noticable when the car starts cold no matter how long it runs, but occurs when the car is restarted after reaching full operating temperature and continues long after the hot air from the firewall should have dissapated. Believe me, it is not a hot firewall. It is the heater going full blast. For some reason it seems worse when the top is down. Turning on the air will change the temperature but I personally don't like to drive with the top down and the air on.
If you find a solution, please share.
