Default SRT Intake Installation with Pics

The process took about 4 hours, working very slowly and carefully. Thanks to Lee for some insight, his wiring diagram was perfect. The car started right up, no wrning lights. It sounds awsome. I will post a movie file later. Took it out on the highway and wow ! she goes!

Great pics... Would your install be the same for my GS? Looks like alot of wires that you have to splice but i only saw one? Some one mentioned yesteray that i should get one to match my new exhaust... I'm just nervous cutting wires etc... I's probably have someone else do it... whos knows... Look great IMO...

Yes it is the same proceedure for GS, just different wiring scheme. 6 wires and 3 hoses, not to difficult. My soldering skills leave something to be desired, but I got the job done. I also wanted to enhance my exhaust, mission accomplished. Thanks.

Link to thread for more info on wiring.

Default Latest Mod To SRT Setup

I put the original Air Duct back under the hood in it's original location. I did it to help the look and direct some cold air toward the intake. I cut a small portion off of the back of the air duct. It has three seperate air vents passing thru it. The one on the right (looking at it from the front) now passes air strait back on the Intake tube. The other two vents (center and left) pass air thru thier original path toward the Air Filter.

Then I fashioned a piece of scrap plastic to keep the air filter from rubbing against the sharp inner edge of the compartment. This is small and out of normal view.

no offense but for a $450 intake you would think they could have made the intake look better and use 1 pipe instead of connecting 2
