just being curious would the sc 430 engine fit in the sc 400s engine bay ??
im thinking about doing the swap but dont know if the engine would fit........

 

May I ask why?? A late model, low mileage 4.0 liter can be had for less than the 4.3 with comparable HP/Torque specs and there would be no question about fitment.

2000 SC400
HP 290 @ 6100 RPM
TQ 290 @ 4250 RPM

2003 SC430
HP 300 @ 5600 RPM
TQ 325 @ 3400 RPM


Don't think it would be worth it for the 10 ponies and 35ft/lb
