Default Indiglo sides

Has anyone tried changing the stock color of the door sills to something similar to the new SC430-indiglo blue?
Appears to be a simple swap.

You read my mind Henry. I pulled off a sill and took it apart. 2 LEDS as seen in pics. 12v as well. I'm going to price some new 06 sills before going further.
Notice the color backing? It appears that the LED lights up behind it giving the orange color.

wow thanks for pulling it off lee. yup, i am not surprised. considering how lexus does stuff, i would be very surprised if they are using bulb in that area.

very interesting, though more than likely i am not doing this mod. i asked my wife this weekend and she said she likes the orange more. match up with the saddle better

I would agree with your wife-she has good taste. The LED are white so it appears that all is needed is another color screen. I will look into it further this week.

If i am not mistaken LED's do not get hot like bulbs do. So all you need is a coloured see through plastic that you can pick up from a graphic supply store and just cut to size.

yes, that's one way to go, pretty easy. though sometimes it could reduce the light output due to the "filtering". the best way is definitely get an led that light up in the specific color already

a blue LED might make it too blue if ya know what I mean, but what do I know. I think u should just get different filters and change them out during the year, like green and red for christmas, or orange for halloween LOL
