Default universal turbo?

I see this turbo on ebay that guarentees 60+ hp and claims it will work on all lexus models. Anyone know anything about it or if it would work on an sc430? $500 for 60 hp seems better than the other option for 15k and the same power. I am guessing it is to good to be true. Any help would be great.

dunno, that's just the turbo itself, but you still need other stuff, piping, intercooler, etc...?!

in any case, either i am missing something, or it's not complete

alot more is needed than just a turbo for a turbo setup.

Most importantly is the engine management. I would never get a turbo setup for my SC430 on ebay. Thats just my opinion, but my SC deserves better than that. I think it would be very cool if you did a custom turbo setup, but do it right the first time. You have to careful sometimes buying things on ebay. Especially items that seem to good to be true.

Good luck

very true, and engine management on the sc430 is too smart, it's not easy to hack

yes thats for sure, the last turbo SC430 that was TWIN turbo had to use full standalone engine management

I believe it was MOTEC, which pretty much allows you to control everything on the car

MOTEC=Lots of $$$

However he did get 700hp!

You can't even buy a descent turbo for $500. Not to mention the intercooler, piping, fuel management, injectors, wastegate, downpipe, etc. Stay away!
