Default 2006 SC 430 Info

From fellow member Rockville!! Thanks Rock.

Yesterday I looked out the window and saw an Absolutely Red IS300 outfitted with the SC430 stock 18" wheels with the large plate center cap. We are considering taking the 5 spoke 18"s from the new GS430 and putting them on the SC430 as our own "refresh".

One thing I dislike about the 05' SC is the lacking of the LED taillight..... Hum..... time for arranging a group buy, Steve.

Yeah, I'm interested in how the new dual headlights and pods would look.

Question

How official is this info on the 2006 SC430???
Is this a magazine speculation or our wish/desire for a refreshed look???

I just put a stop on my purchase of a 2005 SC430 based on this post.
The dealer said there was no news on this to happen.
Yes, I know they (salesman) will say anything to sell a car.

The quote from Rockville in the original post is a member of Clublexus & a Lexus sales consultant. You can pm him to inquire where he get those information if you like.

How much do you think MSRP might be on 06's?
How much were they on the previous year's SC430's?

more sporty you mean the suspension? not sure if it will get better coz' the sc is a cruiser, that's how lexus advertise it. but i do wish the suspension could be more sporty though. nothing aftermarket can't fix

Just a thought and a longshot but I wonder if Lexus will drop the new 3.0 or the new 3.5 V-6 to make a lower priced SC 430?

i doubt. they didn't do it back in 02 with the sc430 (sc300) coz' the sc430 were selling sooo strong. 3 yrs later and even now the sc430 is still selling very strong, you don't see a lot of inventry everywhere. with the new gs and the 400h, the allocation for all other lexus models are less, meaning there are less new sc430 to begin with.

so with all these factors, i just don't think they would do the v6 version. at least it doesn't make sense to me

If they are doing a facelift for 06, then I don't think there will be a totally redesigned new SC until the 09 model year, the earliest may be for spring 08 as a 09.

I agree, & if they are going to make a hardtop convertible coupe for the IS350, there will be no need for a V6 SC ? Or they might differentiate them by making the IS performance oriented & SC V6 luxury oriented ?
