Put some new wheels on the car & thought I would share with the rest of the group. These are 18" x 8.5 AZEV wheels 35mm offset in chrome. I stayed with 18"s because it's my wifes car and she really wants to keep the run flats. Thinking of adding a bodykit & lowering it in that order. I will post some better picks on this thread
I agree it looks like a 4x4. I am thinking of doing a body kit first. I am hoping it will lessen the raised effect. I would like to lower it, but I am afraid it will affect the ride to much. Like I said it is my wifes car and if it rides like a stagecoach when it is dropped I am never going to hear the end of it. Here is another couple of pictures
Mikeo,
I promise, you won't have a stagecoach ride if you lower it using Tein CS coilovers. I think my car rides better than stock with this set-up. I'll pay you for them if you're not happy?!!? JK
Seriously though, you'll have a smooth ride with the CS.
I would not take a $62k car & give up ride quality by lowering it, leave that for the kids & their Civics. Your cars looks great, real eye catcher. My .02
...i just put on the TEINs and i thought the ride improved
I hear that a lot in this forum. Of course there is really no way to know without riding in a car that has already had the modification and comparing it to stock. There has been some discusion in the past on ride quality difference of the 04 vs 05 SC. I have driven both and although not a side by side comparision I did not detect a significant difference. I am hoping that would be the case for the TEIN's. Maybe one of these days I will get a chance to drive an SC that has been lowered with the TEIN's, and then make my decsion. I will PM you with some other questions on your car.

I'm far from a kid...I happen to be 46 yrs old. When I was a kid I didn't like a harsh riding car. Kids lower their car to the ground....sometimes cutting springs or buying the cheapest they can find. I would never compromise for ride comfort. In fact, I tried using springs and shocks before getting the coilovers. I wasn't happy. Not even close. I am happy with the coilovers. My car is not slammed either. I used to doubt it would be okay but I never belittled anyone for their choice. I'm a believer now. You just have to do it right. $1500 for coilovers and $400 for professional install is doing it right imo...unless someone is experienced enough to do it themselves. Price of the car is not the issue. I see lots of older guys driving expensive cars that are lowered. Heck, benzes come with a suspension set-up that can be lowered at will. Several other cars have suspensions that lower itself under certain conditions. It's okay to voice your opinion but the way you did it appears to be a direct confrontation on us who have lowered their cars. Just be careful.

I can only totally agree with what you just said!
Lowering your car may seem stupid at the time, but you can't really say much on the subject if you've never gracefully lowered your car yourself to achieve the perfect look and ride you desire.

very clean and very simple with class. congrats man..
as far as lowering it. if you are useing teins cs's to lower your car your going to love them and you'll be fine with the comfort and ease they bring. i think kids cut their springs, and get cheap drop springs, we aren't suggesting any of that so it doesn't apply here. i've slammed my car no gap rear and tuck up front and i still have very nice comfort. i'm not saying to do the same but you get the idea..congrats again
