I got an XM radio and want to install in the cigarette lighter/tray area. I have searched the topics on this and found some pictures. I have not read all the posts but here are my questions.

1) Has anyone been able to install XM in the ash tray area AND allow the thing to close. Also, leave the cigarette lighter in tact?

2) Where is the best place to put the antena? I got the new ones with the smaller antenas.

3) Can the controls for the XM radio be hooked to the steering wheel controls?

4) Can the displays be on the standard radio display?

why did u go for xm instead of sirius?

 

I got it for Christmas...but I don't know much about XM or Sirius...XM is cheaper but does not have sports channels (which I can live with).

Also, do they make a unit that is small enough to fit into the ashtray of the 430?
