I stupidly cracked the plastic control panel face. Can I replace the cover by itself? Or am I looking at $600 for a complete eBay control box? (Yes I cracked it while removing. But the AirPlay box threw me off)
You can replace the "cover". I just did one with original Lexus part I had in the drawer for years, but you may have a hard time finding one, as I don’t think Lexus has them anymore. It seems a lot of us damage the climate control unit removing it to install BT...
Thanks for the reply. Glad to know the cover can be replaced. I managed to find a used one for $200 so I’ll give it a try. I think the plastic cover gets hot over the years causing the plastic to get very brittle.

Can I get you to send me the old broken one? I will reverse engineer it so it can be 3D printed. I've already done the shifter console: 3D Printed Shifter Console.
I can post the models here, or other locations if others want to have them printed.
Definitely will do!! Perhaps a simple flat overlay would work. The back side has some intricate hooks for the screen, switches etc.
I made some “aligners” for my broken ac vents. They are simple trinkets to keep the broken vanes from pointing every which way. (White parts are prototypes only). Designing new vane guide plates was too intricate for me. Do you think 3D parts would be possible for them also?

Don't see why not.
The center console was pretty complex. It took many iterations to get it right, but I got it very close to the original.
