Default CD Player Electrolytic Capacitors

Hi, the original Panasonic 6 CD player head unit in my October 2001 SC 430 buffers for a while before the music kicks in. I notice that if the car interior is hot, after leaving the car in the sun, the CD plays almost immediately. The music quality is still great hence I am keen to find the cause of the buffering & its positive behaviour under heat. AI Chat suggested that it could be the aged electrolytic capacitors. Has anyone changed these capacitors before ? What model/make ? Many thanks

Changing capacitors will be difficult at best. They are on printed circuit boards and are not easily de soldered. That is if you could figure out which one is bad. It is possible, but unlikely that you could identify the bad one and replace it. Also, that does not sound like a symptom of a bad capacitor. It is possible it could be, but is more likely a problem with the motor in the CD changer.

Thanks Racer for your feedback.
If replacement capacitors can be found, I am prepared to replace all of them. I wasn’t thinking of doing it myself but to find an audio expert to have it done.
Thanks again
