Default CV Joint Replacement?

I'm hearing a bit of noise when I make a right turn and a friend (riding shot-gun) said he thought it sounded like I needed a new CV joint. The noise seems to be coming from the left front on my 2005 SC430.
Any idea what this should cost (part and labor)?
Any suggestions on where to shop for this -- of course, I'll get confirmation from my mechanic before making a purchase. Just trying to get some idea of the expense.
Thanks!

I thought CV joints were only for Front Wheel Drive vehicles.

My first guess is it is a suspension issue. You maybe able to push on the fender and see if the car squeaks as it goes up and down

You may be correct -- I'm a true novice when it comes to mechanics
I did do a search for a CV joint and came across many options.
As noted, I'll let my mechanic guide me -- not just a fellow passenger who may or may not actually know

Check your rubber on your lower aft control arm. There's a rubber bushing there that goes bad with age. Probably needs replacing... use the advanced search function in the forums. There are a few how-to's for the LCA repair. You can press a new rubber bushing in but I opted to replace the whole arm new due to other damage to my suspension system.
