Default Climate control code

Having warm air out passenger side/ cold air out driver problem that seems fairly common and likely due to blend door (air mixture) servo failure. Mode works fine. OK, easy enough to replace the faulty actuator and some good videos on CL. Ran the on-board diagnostics in the Climate Controller (see below) and retrieved the expected 21,24 sun sensor codes ( I did in garage) then 41 (air mix door servomotor) & 42 (air inlet servo motor) but also a code "46". What the heck is that about? I have looked everywhere to find the meaning of that code so I could order any anticipated parts. Anyone know?

u can take a look at this a/c error code chart.

The damper motor would probably be the root of your problem (just my guess)

I took out glove box etc. and looked at the three actuators as I put it through the testing programs on climate control diagnostics (0 - 9) that operate all of the motors and dampers in various sequences. All of them seem to be moving freely, without any noise, fresh air damper opens and closes, but I'm still getting the same error codes 41, 42, 46. As I mentioned when car and A/C are on the mode control seems to work in all settings, but the air is warm on passenger side and cool on driver side. Given the error codes does anyone think I should just replace them? Any other ideas to explore?

Make sure you have enough refrigerant in your AC system. What you describe is common when low on refrigerant. Not sure why the codes are being thrown?

Thanks, I will. But, as you suggested, not sure how to explain the servo codes being thrown. Since I have it all apart and I already have the part, I may just replace the blend door actuator even though it seems to be working just fine.

I was able to clear the codes. I found out that after entering the diagnostic mode (push auto and R/F simultaeously then start car) once the codes start flashing can push front and rear defroster buttons for a couple of seconds and it will clear the codes. So that problem solved. However still temperature differential warmer on passenger side when A/C on. Fine in heat mode. So next up is as implantgs4 suggest and getting refrigerant checked. But hopefull reset procedure useful to others.
