Default A Generator Belt Tensioner Question

Hello All,
I've searched this forum but was not able to find the answer to my question.
I'm hearing a squealing noise in the engine compartment when I accelerate. My hearing is very bad, but my wife who hears well and knows cars says she thinks it's a belt squeal.
Looking at the drawing in the manual that pertains to the tensioner "good" position, I wasn't able to determine whether or not my tensioner is in OK as the photo shows a line that looks like an intentional pointer as opposed to the manual's Fig.1.

If the tensioner is too loose, is there a way to adjust it? Should I replace the belt first and then recheck, or is the tensioner bad for sure?
What are the chances that it's another one of the idler pulleys going bad?
Sooo many questions.
Thanks for your experienced advice.

Check the belt for wear....majority of times its one or more of the pulleys...the bearings do go out on them
