Yes it does, the upper "arms" are spring loaded and adjust automatically. I put 3 different sized cups in and it held them all just fine.
We drove around a bit yesterday and had no tipping problems whatsoever!

I just got my second one yesterday! Had to try the first one for a little bit to make sure it worked and it seemed to work just fine so I ordered another one

Yes they do. They do seem tall though, but work well.

 

Do you ever hit the cup with your arm when you make a U turn?

I have a double of one those. My 1990 Ford Bronco II has only 1 cup holder and I needed a second cup holder to hold my weather tech phone holder. They work great. I have found that over time you need to turn the rubber grip pads out a little to keep it tight in the factory cup holder
