If you are going to replace one rear strut then you should replace them both. When I replaced the rear struts on my 2006 SC these are the parts I ordered from Megazip in Japan on 4/7/2020. The prices are listed below

4853080333 Absorber Assy, shock, rear Qty: 2 says RH but fits both LH and RH. $127.09 x 2 =$254.18
9094801083 Cushion, Rear Shock Absorber No 1 Qty: 2. $4.44 x 2 =$8.88
909480182 Cushion Rear Shock Absorber No 2 Qty: 2. $12.81 x 2 $25.62
9038712050 Collar (rear support to rear shock absorber Qty 2 Says RH but fits both LH and RH. $3.92 x 2 = $7.84
4834130080 Bumper, Rear Spring No 1 Qty 2 Says RH but fits both LH and RH. $29.54 x 2 $59.08

Out the door $355.60 plus shipping. No sales taxes

Hope this helps.

I agree with Dennis, you should go with OEM. There are just not too many good options for the SC430 rears. The problem is the slot the top of the shocks has to fit in is narrower than most cars. If you buy an aftermarket shock, you have to trim it down with a saw. If you are strapped for cash and good with tools, it is an option, but it is just easier and less risky to buy the OEM's.

It's better to replace with OEM, but the 2006 is different than the 2004. It's better to find out the actual part number for your car either by looking at the current strut directly or get your VIN to the dealership's parts department to find out the correct part number because the rear strut for the SC is very tricky. They have different versions of the sitting base for the spring. If you wants to keep the car long term, I would get the new OEM struts, if just for short term, then I would just go to eBay and see if there are any used OEM struts that fits.

In my post with the part numbers I used I assumed you would plug in your SC info and order the appropriate parts. AT3618 brings up a good point always do your research for your year of SC. My list were for the parts I used on my 2006 SC.
