Ok So I Broke weak and went out and bought a new TPS .The TPS on my 92 SC400 had the part # 89452-12050 The new TPS had the part# 89452-22090 is that ok?? I installed it and it feel like its driving fine.I did some research and from what I read the new 89452-22090 replaced the old 89452-12050 ?????

If I had them look up the Year make and model its a $163 part and special order, but if they cross reference the old 89452-12050 the price was $79.99 With the part# 89452-22090??? I am just confused LOL! Please help

according to toyo-diy the part number is:

89452-50010 (04/1991 - 08/1992) which supercedes to 89452-50020
89452-50020 (09/1992 - 12/1993)

However the part number 89452-12050 supercedes to:

89452-22090 toyota
89452-33010 lexus but multisupercedes to 89452-22090

So either toyo-diy is wrong or you have the correct part. I would call Curt Aigner at Elmhurst Toyota. He may shed some light on the situation. I think the number stamped on the TPS may be for something else and not the part number.

If you gave the lexus dealer a vin number, then I wouldnt worry about getting the wrong part number.

Thanks man it seems to run ok but it has snowed so I will have to wait to really see. The throttle feels nice and lite time will tell I guess. I just hope I don't see the CEL #41 again

The plugs on the TPS and Sub TRAC TPS are keyed different

FYI: The part number I have is 89452-50010. Im now leaning towards you having the wrong part number.

From what I am finding is what you 1st said was right the -50010 supersedes to the 22090 at somethe point. The car still seems ok after a 50 mile drive, it took some time to get the TPS adjusted right though. Only CEL code I am still getting after clearing the codes is the 25 lean code the 41 TPS has not come back so far.... Time will tell
