crashed my car
i total my 92 sc400 past weekend
anybody know where i can sell a wrecked car?
everything under the hood works fine
it was mostly body damage
looking for another sc
will post pics later
worst day of my life

damn man.. i'm sorry to hear that. Hurts to find out there's one less SC out there
. But your still alive and kickin so as long as the accident isn't your fault then ur still in good shape.
As for your car if u have stuff that u want to sell then i'm sure you wont have a problem getting rid of them here on CL..

Any salvage yard will buy it.
Check your yellow pages.
I looked on Yahoo Yellow Pages for MD and found several
You may want to try parting it out on the Classifieds first. Sell the good parts then junk the rest.

methodmf, you aren't insured for collision damage? Sorry to hear about your horrible news , what happened man?! In any case, you can sell your car to a salvage yard, but don't be expecting much money back from them. Try parting out your car first or doing an exchange program where you basically exchange your good parts for other people's bad parts, they pay you a little money, and then you approach the salvage yard with your wreck. That way you can get a little more money back. Again, very sorry about the news, hopefully you'll be getting another SC soon!

That sucks man. Hope it wasent your fault. I have come close a few times with my lex (spinning out, jumped the median, and crossed 3 lanes of traffic side ways), but i've been lucky. Hope everything works out for ya.

A salvage yard will buy it like said before and also as said before - sell the good parts. Like interior pieces. What color interior is it? I could use some of the tan interior parts. Let us know if you are selling any pieces.

man, those junk yards aren't going to give you jack for your car
on most crashed cars, owners just give it up and have it towed w/out getting anything back.
take the advice on this board. part out the good parts on your car and sell it on this board and you'll get much more $ back. send it to the junk yard after all that and you'll probably get the same $50 offer from them even if you didn't part it out
