Default WTB: Exhaust system

Like the tittle says I am looking for an exhaust system for my 96 5 speed. I am open to brands not really looking for a VIP look. My car does have "vertex" style kit on it and that's the biggest reason why I am looking to upgrade. Stock exhaust sits inside the bumper. Not looking for something loud that I can be heard 20 blocks away. If the piping is bigger then stock, it would be a plus. I can pick it up here in So. Cal. and if needed I can bring down my stock exhaust and deliver it. Let me know what you guys have! Thanks for looking.

I wouldn't mind a nice axleback. I am thinking of going NA-T in a few months.

If you want to go NA-T then an axleback is not what you need.

Look on Supraforums for a used Supra TT aftermarket exhaust. It can be modified to fit the SC very easily. OR get a Supra exhaust from XS Power over on Club NA-T. Looks good and pretty affordable.

yeah if you are going na-t then axleback will only make it look better.
you will need a cat-back if you want efficiency.

if you really care about the sound wait till you install the turbo because the turbo will actually muffle it a little, unless you are booooooosting of course.
I just got mine made 3" single to dual 2.5" and it rocks. i would not describe it as quiet though.

Thank you for the reference. I will take a look over there.

I was thinking of doing the same setup. I was caring a little more on the looks right now vs performance, just because I am not boosting right now. After reading this it's pointless to spend $ on an exhaust system 2 times. Thank you.

no problem, i think you have the right idea now. i would do it once and do it right.
i just grabbed two mufflers i liked (n1 style), a y section (magnaflow 3" to dual 2.5"), and took it to a local shop to get it done.
heres how mine turned out, It looks a little low but I think when i get around to doing my kit like you have it should line up perfect.
