Default TT Differential

I lucked into two TT Differentials..one I am keeping and one I plan on selling. These were both JDM units so they are supposed to be the better ratio (3.26). The one I am selling has a few of the cooling fins on the back cover broken from transit. The case has no cracks however.

Price is 1200 OBO. I can email you some pictures if you are interested.

Email me at cfb2dal@numail.org

Mods - If I need to get someone to vouch for me I will do so or if anyone who has dealt with me before they can chime in.

Thanks!

Chip's a great guy to deal with, no worries here.

That diff is a steal for $1200! If I didn't already have on I'd be on it!!!! Just to be clear for everyone else...This is a 6 speed diff, IIRC in Japan they were available with the 3:26 ratio.

Heh, my project is moving at a snail's pace. Car is still untouched. However, my cyl head is done and built to the hilt. Bottom end is getting started on in the next couple of weeks. After I dig myself out of debt I'll install everything! lol!

Anyhow, enough threadjacking on my part!

Can you verify 100% it is a 3.26 ratio?

I will pull the cover today and snap a picture or two. I will also spin the input shaft and count the turns on the half shafts. My understanding is the one complete turn of the input shaft will equal just about three and one quarter turns to the half shafts for a 3.26. Also, this came in directly from Japan where the only option I have ever seen on a JDM Supra was 3.26.

These torrsen units are strange how they will look like an act like an open diff until a load is put on them... but once they see load they lock in and take off!

I will post some pictures here later today when I pull the cover.

ALSO - I have a complete set of TT brakes with rotors! The whole setup is used of course - the front rotors are slotted and look to have low miles on them. Pads are aftermarket and I would call them 50-75% pad. These go all day on long on SF for about 700 with rotors so I guess that will be my price OBO. These have been cleaned and will need to be painted or powder coated.

Scott - Thanks for posting those and the good word. Now lets get this stuff sold. A lot on interest...not sold yet. Keep in mind I want these gone so everything is OBO. Local pick up is prefered....located in Atlanta, GA.

Thanks.

The Diff is sold.

Brakes are still up for sale - but with a new price 600 OBO takes all four calipers and the rotors.

UPDATE: A lot of people have asked about the wear on the front rotors.... They look almost new - to confirm this I mic'd them and here are the results.

L = 30.17mm
R = 30.15mm

Factory specs are "standard thickness" or 30mm with a minimum of 28mm.

SO...these are infact in great condition as far as wear goes. If I have time I will wire wheel one up to see how well they clean up and repost a picture.

Would you consider parting out the rears?
