Default Before you go that road . . ..

Are you sure it's the compressor?! I just had my SC400 system converted to R134. It worked for a day, then didnt work when it gfot real hot out. I brought it back to the shop and they said I needed a new compressor -- that it was leaking.

I got a second opinion and found out that the *&*%^ idiot overcharged the system. Once the correct amount of R1234 was in, it ran like a refrigerator.

Much appreciated on the advise. Unfortunately I was standing against the fender with glasses and a blacklight and watched it ooze down the back. Since I refuse to use 134a, I was watching almost 3 pounds of $65 per lb refrigerant hit the ground.

Just keep a cooler full of beers and ice on the back seat and you'll be okay

There is a TSB for your vehicle and the AC and it has nothing to do with a compressor. Let me know if you want more info. PM me.
