Default New 07 & Drivers Memory system not working

Does anybody have any ideas on why the drivers side memory seat system may not be working? The passenger side works fine. I'm guessing that possibly the connection within the door is loose or not connected at all to the buttons.

is it beeping when you press the buttons?

If not I would think that the connection might be loose or just not connected. Have your dealer check it out for ya.

Had same issue with our '04.. In the owner's manual there is a "case" for this, and how to get it operating again.

No beeping at all.

I will check the manual to see what can be done if anything without having the dealer remove the door panel.

Thanks

Did it work before or is this problem someting new? I know I had to roll the seat all the way back and then all the way forward twice for the button to start working. It has something to do with the seat knowing the front and rear limits of travel.

It has never worked.

I tried moving the seat back and forth twice but that did not solve the problem. Tell me exactly how you fixed yours.

Key Position?
Brake Applied?
Gear shift position?
Seat foreward first or back first?

Thanks

I do know car needs to be in park with foot off brake. Not sure about key, but probably engine on. Forward first according to 2004, 2005 manual.

Here's a helpful thread: (note last post)

Thanks to everyone. The link by Roofless gave me the solution to the problem.

I have a hard time understanding why something as simple as pushing a memory seat button has to be "learned" by the systm.

not on other models i guess, but the sc430. since it has the position sensor to see if your seat is too far back or too inclined to touch the rear seats? just my guess
