Neither of those ideas look bad ...
I knew I was onto sumtin'.
I never did post my Buick portholes mock-up. I was pretty close to pulling the trigger on it, as I feel they suit the car quite well, but all those oval cutouts present a lot of opportunities to screw up. (The Camaro/Mustang cutouts would actually be easier than most of the small vents. I haven't been able to get dimensions on them yet, though, and am unsure if the SC has enough fender width behind the wheel.) The ovals are 4x1.75" and three per side fits perfect. Two per side looks pretty awkward and four per only fits if moving them up onto the curved portion higher up.

I can't speak for you, but a lot of people are unable to see past their own preconceptions. (I think slammed cars look terrible, but to each his own.) Fender vents have a bad rap because of the prevalence of fake ones... Researching functional OEM vent options was actually pretty comical. I ran across lengthy forum and blog discussions bemoaning the worst offenders out there. It was quite the demonstration of group think, with everyone agreeing with each other until one person would point out that an example is actually functional, then everyone would do an about face.
Just buy origin front fenders.....
That would be a lot easier, but presumably a lot more expensive. And the examples I saw were a bit bland, using the Camaro/Mustang style vents but without the center bar that adds the aggressive quality.
SC's available space = 10.5-12" top, 8" bottom, 13" height
That top measurement is the dangerous one, as you'd have to place the vent pretty high to have enough width. You would also want to get a middle width measurement to estimate the curvature and see if moving it up that high loses the line of the wheel well. I did leave an inch or so gap all around in taking my measurements. 1/4" to 1/2" of that on each side would be taken up by the vent's lip that gets taped down, so the actual corresponding vent measurement might be closer to 10.5" top width, making for a snug but good fit.
Stuff like this only works if it's executed with 100% perfection and the rest of the car is show car quality (aka, mean wheels, kit, great paintjob, stanced out, etc.) You do those same vents on a stock, neglected looking Supra and you look like a dumbass or a at best a guy that is not very bright.

Hey tell how you really feel! Lol I agree do it right or not at all.
