Default 97+ Hyperblink fix

My buddy did the wiring for me but I'll tell you what he did, it's pretty simple.

Cut out 4 of the turn signal bulbs from the old taillight harness. You will be wiring 2 of them into each of the new 97+ taillights.

Splice the green/yellow wire from the taillight harness and solder the green/yellow wires from the 2 bulbs into the harness.

Splice the white/black wire of the taillight harness and wire in both white/black wires from the 2 new bulbs. Wrap in electrical tape and find a way to secure them so they don't vibrate against your trunk and break.

I'll post the wiring diagram that I found on here that was very helpful (gotta find it again).

Cool man, this looks easier than modding the flasher or the other mod you had to do to stop the hyperblinks. Will this eliminate that rear lamp indicator on the instrument cluster?

I don't know, I removed that light bulb before I installed the 97+ taillights.

Hmmmmm. Giving the tricky finger to the flasher relay outputs. I know it works, but I need to see what load it places on the bias resistors and load capacitors in the relay before I do it. Thanks for being an early adopter though.

I'm trying this tomorrow everyone, and I'll let you all know if the dash light goes off. Stay tuned! Thanks for this Troysc300

Is it safe though to have 4 extra hot light bulbs hidden? My main thing is the dash light also. This should get rid of it though hopefully. LET US KNOW!

I've had the 4 bulbs tucked loosely behind the trunk carpet for 8 months without an issue, even with my 2 12in subs bangin. The dash light does not turn off. I had to remove the cluster and pull the bulb. Worth it.

My four bulbs are tucked, wrapped in tinfoil, covered in electric tape and tucked away very nicely. NO RICERFLASH!!

However, I started again when my brake light indicator came on again...time to remove that dumb light. I'm not gonna throw it away I'm gonna RUN IT OVER.
