Help replacing license plate lights

Help replacing license plate lights
Hello, need some help replacing the license plate lights-- I saw that there are two screws on each light assembly but once I remove them they do not seem to shift anywhere. Previous forums mention to pinch it out but not sure if I'm doing that right, does anyone have a picture or video to share?

Thank you! Was able to get it to work after taking two butter knifes and sticking it between the sides and taking the panel off that way. Seems to have been slightly stuck there which is why I was so confused on how to remove
