Shift kit
So I had shot motor and transmission mounts and had to have the center support bearing rebuilt. While I was at the transmission shop I asked them about installing my transgo shift kit. They told me they only supply and install the parts so they can warranty it, whatever. But they were very knowledgeable and said they could definitely see what options there are and could do the kit and valve body while doing the other work.
well I got my 92 sc400 back today and what a difference. I literately looked everywhere online and read what little info I could find and videos etc but to say this is a different car is an understatement. It was worth the money no question.
it shifts like my 05 mustang did after a brenspeed tube. Under hard throttle it’s awesome. When I am cruising and keeping it simple you can still lightly hear and feel the shifts but it’s nothing uncomfortable at all and that’s only from dead stop. My wife will notice but it’s not obnoxious. When just cruising at 15-30 mph it shifts smooth and when coming to a stop no major jerks or thunks.
if you are thinking about having something like this done and are searching online for opinions I can definitely say go for it.
no, I’m not sure what kit they used, but I didn’t see any other options than transgo so I assumed they used it.
I also have my transgo kit I bought still sealed in the box that wasn’t used so let me know if you want one.
