Do you lie about year?
How many of you guys lie about the year of your car, to people who can't tell the difference? Especially if you have the 97-2000 upgrade?

I have the 2000 front end on my '92 and tell people at meets the truth. But I tell the casual person a little white lie.

I think gadgetsc might be the only one on this board that bought their sc brand spanking new. Nuff props for having that vision back in 92.

when people say how nice my car is, i just say how broken some stuff are
my car looks like any other car on the road. nothing special to hide..

No way...an enthusiast would know better, and an average Joe wouldn't know the difference. I take pride in my cars age. It shows that I don't buy disposable cars & that I know how to take care of stuff.

i have a 95 and i'm proud of it... all I want now is a renaissance red 99 but until then i'm babying my 95... so it looks like a brand new car

i don't need to lie about mine. people always assume my car is a 97 or a 98. they are also shocked that my car is a 93.

not shallow enough to lie. I have a few rides, this is the oldest one, but one of the nicer ones than even my '00 ride.
