Which diffs fit an sc300
Now onto my next question, assuming that a 3.2xx diff ratio is better, which cars can I get a pumpkin from that have the 3.2 ratio and will drop into my sc. I've read that the gs400 has and sc430 pumpkins will drop right it. Which other cars will fit? Does the gs430 fit at all? Am I missing any other ones that will fit? Let me know, thanks!
Pretty certain pumpkins on SC430's will not bolt in, but the ring and pinion for all of those will fit into yours; which makes more sense when you are adding an LSD and need it shimmed anyways.
also, would the gs430 diffs fit or not?

Some of these diffs require swapping over the companion flange from an SC300/400/Soarer. It's a very small difference but the SC/Soarer has a flange with 101mm spacing and many of these other diffs have 111mm spacing. At a glance they look the same but it's significant when attempting to bolt them up.
Requires a 35mm (I think) deep socket and a dial-torque wrench. The TSRM has a procedure to follow to torque it down correctly. You don't want to do too much as it might change the already balanced pinion gear depth as it meshes with the larger ring gear around the diff center.
Here's a master list of what diffs (and even just compatible ring and pinion sets) are compatible with the Supra MKIV, SC300/400, Z30 Soarer, GS300/400, Aristo and SC430/Z40 Soarer chassis.

2007-2010 Lexus SC430's have a 3.976:1 rear differential
(Note: While the 2000 model year is the last for the SC300/400 there was no 2001 model year of the Lexus SC430 for the U.S.)
