best thing to do to your engine for under 2k?
I'm thinking about getting an sc300/400, and was wondering what kind of engine mods i could do for maximum hp with a budget of 2k in an auto sc300, because those are my first choice over 400's. If there aren't very many ways to maximize hp for an sc300 w/ a budget, then i'll most likely go with the 400.
btw, i have searched, but everything was mainly about torque converters, ECU's and turbos(which i can't afford). would it be possible to reach around 325 rwhp under 2k? thanks

Two grand will get you a converter and install, and leave you enough room for a nitrous system, which you can install yourself if you're handy, maybe a discrete single fogger system. As for 325 rwhp for under $2K, are you serious? That will require a 175-200 shot of juice, the motor will handle a bit hit with proper fuel and spark management, but that's definitely pushing it, I would upgrade the in-tank pump and run a 125-150 shot. If your response is you don't want nitrous, you'll end up adding intake, exhaust, pulleys, AFC, plugs, whatever other boltons.....and only gettting a few horses, you'll be lucky to hit 200-210 rwhp if that. Save and wait for that turbo kit, otherwise you will not be happy.

Bean kit, not really a kit, but a piece together solution to save alot of bucks. May not be the best solution for the impatient.

i got a link in my sig...
it is NOT for the impatient for sure... but you can save lots of cash... if you need any help drop me a line...
my advice is to run the DaveH turbo, manifold, and downpipe for starters and piece the rest together
it'll save a lot of time and its not that much more expensive
i had a dave h manifold set up to use a T4 flange instead of the 3bolt grand national since i can get a T4 turbo new for $450

got a 57 trim since they were out of the 60 and it was gonna be a month before they got anymore
anyway; all the trials and tribulations are in that thread; pm me with questions
