This was the process of my long tube headers from hurricane and custom exhaust build. I hired an apprentice and he was pretty affordable, he accepted payments in candy and other snacks lol

The O2 bung provided didnt fit my factory threaded type.

The easiest way would have been to block these off and weld in a new set of bung at the beginning of the X pipe section but i already cut new holes by the time i thought of it and it was too late 😢

fitment was good. I'd say a 9 out of 10. Might have been my own doing since i kep the hood lifts on there after installing the hood and caused a slight warp on the higher section but i can live with it. It isn't noticeable or anything unless you have a sharp eye for small details.

Ridox style lip from Grams-styling

Was a bit short on fitment.

Drilled out rivets and moved back to cover gap

Looks good from here

Ridox style fender diffuser from grams-styling also. This had to be cut to size for fitment

Universal side skirt splitters also cut to fit

How she sat in 2020

Track day the following morning back to Thunderhill Raceway with the sc400

One of my favorite side shots of the sc400 at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows

Had a dogfight with a friends s2k

Is that a supra!?!?

Time attack and personal best is what it's all about with the sc400

More rollers of the soon to be time attack sc400 build at Thunderhill. sc400 with ridox lip looks good. Wish they made one specifically for the sc.

Went with vertex side markers for a little bit of cosmetic bling during track day photos.

Megan racing ez2 coilovers originally came with 14kg front and 10kg rear for spring rates. They are able to go 2kg+/- without needing to be revalved so i went ahead and got stiffer spring rates to make the setup a bit more aggressive. 16kg front and 12kg rear also went polyurethane mounts from Xcessive

Awesome thread dude. Very few road race SC’s out there so it’s nice to see you doing one right. Do you happen to have any sound clips of your exhaust with those Helmholz resonators on? I have seen a ton of them for sale off of 350/370/G35 cars where they’re so common and have thought to adapt as well. I’m very interested in tuning the sound of the exhaust and would love to have your feedback and hopefully a sound clip.

Thanks!

Nick

Loaded up and headed for Buttonwillow Raceway from june 2021

Got tired of the CEL so i installed the fouler. Shiuld have done this from the start

Brian's SC300 and David's RCF. Nice to know I'm not the only heavy lexus coupe out here that hot summer day.

West side

sc400 sc300 at Buttonwillow, North meets South. Thats Brian's sc300.. that thing is Raw and in comparisons, my setup is no match for his but it was a thrilla to ride in his car.

Facing some oversteering issues, big wing after this?

If it's a chase It's a race. Another cool shot of the sc400 on a racetrack

Cracked the lip when we were loading. Got a decent amount of usage out of it I would say.

Couldn't find the Fujin Lip, settled for the KBD one instead.

Big Country Labs 1850mm atmospheric demolisher carbon fiber wing for the sc400

Yeah it's a big ****!

Looks like it belongs on there. Install was straight forward. Their mounts aren't the best design but it does it's job.

😌👌🏻

Say no to crack. Ridox style lip being removed from the sc400

Naked

KBD lip on

Sc400 front splitter diy since it doesn't have any available off the shelf.

Cooling cutouts

Cut out for oil change service

About 21lbs total, eventually I will re-make the front splitter out of something more lightweight but this will serve it's purpose for now.

Hardware for chassis mount setup

Nylon Nuts works wonders

It's business time.

Front splitter Painted and sealed and ready to be installed onto the sc400

Chassis mounted splitter to tow points

Endplates from old ridox style lip was re-used for new splitter.

Looks meaner now. I present to you all, sc400 with front custom splitter. Time to go hit the track!

After personal best! Last time i came to thunderhill west, best i could do was 1:34. Front splitter and wing made a huge difference and i shaved my time down to 1:29 for my lap time. The tires didn't slide around like they used to after 3 or 4 laps. Got a consistent 5 to 6 good laps with no issues per session as opposed to previous visit.

I should've purchased this photo

Definitely should've bought this photo, the sc400 with some work gave the GTR and the Cayman a good run for the money, by no means are they in the same class however it was fun.

More sc400 time attack and track content.

Squared up the endplates. It sat a little to low on the front angle.
